The film 'Main Atal Hoon' is based on the life of former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee in which Pankaj Tripathi is playing his role. The film is directed by Ravi Jadhav, and written by Utkarsh Naithani. The poster of the film was released last year i.e. in 2022 on Atal ji's birthday on 25th December. Now the trailer of the film has been released it is getting a lot of love from the people. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on 19 January 2024.

On the occasion of the trailer launch of 'Main Atal Hoon', Pankaj Tripathi thanked all the reporters and all the people who were present there.

Question- The shooting of this film must have been done a long time ago, so are you one of those actors who check your diary every three months and then call the directors whose editing is about to be completed, or are you one of those actors? Among those who just shoot and forget.

Pankaj- I leave it, I say call me on the day of the public screening. On the day of shooting, I give my best according to the demands of the script and acting. After that, I knew that there was nothing in my hands. Apart from shooting days, I leave it, I don't get tempted. Rest, I know that if there is a director like Ravi Ji then he will make a good one.

Question- If you are playing the character of a historical person about whom everyone knows something or the other, do you feel a little extra pressure in playing such a character?

Pankaj- There was no extra pressure, but it was a little difficult to decide how many imitations of mimicry to keep or not, or his ideas to keep. A lot of deliberation has to be done before playing the role of a person about whom videos and documents are already available. If people want to see people in their original form then they can be found in the videos on YouTube. If you watch the film, you will know what efforts we have made and how successful we have been in that experiment.

Question- How are you feeling about it, how did you feel after seeing it?

Pankaj- I also felt very happy after seeing it. I thought this was very interesting. The last conversation had an impact on me too. Many times we act, but we don't know what its impact will be. Today I too felt very happy seeing this.

Question: Have you ever had the privilege of meeting or seeing Atal ji?

Pankaj- When he came to Gandhi Maidan in Patna, which is a very big ground, there was a crowd of more than lakhs there. At that time it was not even decided that I would become an actor. And I never knew that I would become an actor and one day I would play his character in his biopic.

Question- Which aspects of his life will we get to see in this film?

Ravi- His life span was eighty years, so just understand that this film is a small reel of his eighty years of life, which is going on social media nowadays.

Question- How much time did it take for you to transform from Pankaj to Atal ji because it is a huge responsibility?

Pankaj- It took two hours to do the prosthetic, and I did not know that prosthetic was such a painful process. We shot the entire film in May, and June, when the temperature in entire India was above 40 degrees. Most of the shooting has taken place outside Mumbai. It was a bit difficult to work with that prosthetic for ten to twelve hours in such heat.
