Tassnim Sheikh says she is loving all the attention she is getting as Anupamaa’s Rakhi Dave

Tassnim Sheikh, who is part of Rajan Shahi’s Anupamaa, is ecstatic at the response her character Rakhi Dave has been generating. Jyothi venkatesh

The actor says that her fans are constantly praising her performance. “So far, people's reactions have been outstanding. People love Rakhi Dave. They are happy that Rakhi Dave has exposed Vanraj.  I constantly get feedback from people via comments and messages on my social media handle which feels really good. I don't know if the audience loves the way Rakhi Dave speaks or the way she taunts the other characters in the show but I am loving and enjoying all the attention I have been receiving for Rakhi Dave,” she says.

Tassnim was quite excited and happy at the very first acknowledgment

 The actor admits that she always wanted to work with Rajan. “After my daughter's birth, I had a very strong wish to work with Rajan Shahi sir. Fortunately, when I got a call from the production house and got to know that it's for Anupamaa, I was super excited. The day I spoke to him I was really happy. The way he explained the character to and he told me, 'Tassnim take up this character, you will really love it.’ It was his conviction and I believed him and took up this show. Today, I'm working with his fabulous team. Everyone is so excellent at their jobs, be it the cast or the crew. Working with Rajan Shahi, who is known for his perfection, is in itself a very big thing for me. I am very happy to be part of this show. Everyone is like a family in this show,” she says.

A long long Journey of Tassnim and its still going on

Tassnim says that she is glad she took up the show as it has done wonders for her career. “The show has given me so much love. Till now from all characters that I have played, Mohini from Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi received a huge amount of love from the audience. Not that other characters didn't but the energy of Mohini was altogether very different. The way Mohini had connected with the audience, Rakhi Dave is getting the same love, although Mohini and Rakhi are very different from each other. I'm very thankful to Rajan ji for convincing me to take up Rakhi Dave's character,” she says.

Tassnim always find postivity with each of her Co-star

Talking about her co-actors, Tassnim says that she shares a great rapport with almost everyone. “I share an amazing bond with everyone on the sets even though I shoot very less but everyone is very close and like a family. The atmosphere on the set is always nice and positive when everyone is around, be it my on-screen daughter Nidhi, Rupali, Sudhanshu, Alpana Ji, Arvind ji…everyone. I know Rupali from earlier days so we have a different kind of bond. We are generally talking and chit-chatting, remembering our old days and all the fun. Sudhanshu and I also bond really well because we share the same sense of humour and keep cracking jokes all the time,” she says.

She is very grateful to her fans for loving her performances over the years. “I would like to thank my fans from the bottom of my heart for showering so much love and supporting me for everything that I do. Whatever I am today is also because of my fans who encourage me to do more and better every time. I would like to urge them to keep supporting me this way and keep showering the love they have for me. I love you all. I would also want to tell all of my fans to stay safe and healthy in such hard times not just for themselves but for their families,” she says.
