Tehseen, who is soon to be entering the Bigg Boss 13 house, says that the Festival of Lights means a lot to him. “My memories of Diwali are vacations and holidays with my dad, who is no more. The memories of Diwali that I cherish most was my dad and mum telling me stories from the Ramayana. It fuelled my interest in mythology,” he says. Even today, Diwali is all about family for the very stylish entrepreneur. “I love spending Diwali with my family. It's my wife's festival and we all celebrate it as a family just as we celebrate all of India's major festivals. But one thing Monicka, my wife and I do, is that we meet and try and spend time with those who have less than us,” he says, adding, “To me, Diwali is a time of both celebration and introspection. We of course welcome Maa Laxmi but we introspect in our lives and hope that along with Laxmi, Maa Saraswati is also always there, blessing us. For us as a family, Diwali is a time to reach out and give hope to those who are in tough situations. We try and do that. Another thing my wife and I do around Diwali is to meet poor sex workers who have no family and are in the trade. They are our fellow citizens and deserve to celebrate the festival of lights as well. Ask him if he likes to play cards or burst crackers and he says, “I am lucky in love and so I am unlucky in cards. I believe in an eco-friendly Diwali because animals get scared. My suggestion is we must have a Diwali ground in every city where people can come and burst crackers. It can be fully equipped ground with all the safety drills. On the streets, we can have beautiful Diyas and soundless crackers.” For more Bollywood updates, follow Bollyy!
