Rajesh Roshan: Hundred years ago, a child was born in a middle-class family of Gujranwala, Punjab, and he was named Roshanlal Nagrath. Unlike other children of his age, this young child was very shy and sensitive who was more interested in playing sarod than playing sports. His interest in learning not only Sarod playing but also many other musical instruments increased. So interested in his music, he later decided to choose music as his career, but how it would be possible, he did not understand until he came to Mumbai in search of livelihood. After reaching Mumbai, after many days of pashope, Uhapoh and all night vigil, he decided to pursue a career as a music composer in the Hindi film industry. First of all, he shortened his name to Roshan. At that time, he had no idea that he was laying the foundation of a dynasty that would later become world famous as Roshan Family or Roshan Khandaan and would become a strong pillar of the Hindi film industry.

He was totally ignorant and innocent about his fate and future but he worked with full dedication in the world of music, thinking that sooner or later his hard work and passion would definitely make him successful. He was an admirer of great music composers Anil Biswas and Husnlal Bhagatram but decided that he would never imitate them when he got a chance to compose music for films, and he got that chance early when senior all-rounder Kedar Sharma Ne, who himself was known to write excellent songs and who wrote many best songs for KL Sehgal and who is known as Raj Kapoor's guru and who also received Raj Kapoor's slap when Raj Kapoor, who was working as an assistant to him, gave him a chance. Raj Kapoor was hired by Kedar Sharma on the recommendation of Prithviraj Kapoor, the father of Indian cinema.

 The first film for which Roshan composed the music. It flopped but soon he proved how multi-talented he is by giving beautiful music in many small and big films. Although every song composed by him is a diamond, but he will always be remembered for the memorable songs and music he composed in memorable films. Among all his films, the music composed by him became memorable films, the main ones being Bawre Nayan, Malhar, Navbahar, Anhoni, Barsaat Ki Raat, Arthi, Tajmahal, Dil Hi To Hai, Chitralekha, Deewar, Bheegi Raat, Bahu Begum. and Anokhi Raat which proved to be his last film as he died untimely on 16 November 1967. The evergreen songs composed by him are popular even today and will always be.

Roshan took time to choose his life partner like every sensitive person but when he finally chose his life partner, it was Ira, a Bengali girl who also had a passion for music. During those days, when he was struggling for his career success and living in a part of Husnlal Bhagatram's huge bungalow in Andheri Versova (now Saat Bungalow), his first son Rakesh was born. His second son, Rajesh, was born when his days had turned somewhat better.

Rakesh was not particularly interested in music though he had a wealth of music in the form of his musician father. He was more interested in acting. Rakesh had all the qualities to be a hero but he had to make his acting debut playing the role of a villain in the films of Sanjeev Kumar, Rishi Kapoor and many other heroes. With this, Rakesh was not satisfied with his acting career. Eventually he started his own film company named 'Film Craft' with the blessings of his wife Pinky's father i.e. his father-in-law, veteran well-known filmmaker, J. Om Prakash (who made successful super hit films in seventies and eighties). '. Initially, he made some out and out commercial films which did not work, due to which Rakesh, being dissatisfied, found the best director of South India, K. Vishwanath. K Vishwanath not only exposed Rakesh's acting prowess but also gave name fame and standing to his production company by directing his home production films, Kamchor, Shubhashna, Jaag Utha Insaan. While working with the same Vishwanath ji, Rakesh realized that he also had the qualities to make a film and what happened after that created a history of Hindi films.

Rakesh Roshan's successful films such as Khudgarz, Khoon Bhari Maang, Karan Arjun, Koyla and, films made with son Hrithik Roshan as hero, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish's sequel and three more sequels of this film, Rakesh Roshan Roshan was included in the Hindi film industry's ten best successful directors.

Only one film 'Kite' made by their banner with Hrithik as hero did not work, but due to this the father-son duo did not fear the risk of making films and now they have again taken Hrithik Roshan as hero and Sanjay Gupta as director. Produced the film 'Kaabil'.
