The Biggest Ganpati Celebration of Mumbai 'Coconut Cha Raja's' embarked upon final journey

6th September, 2019 observed Coconut Cha Raja's visarjan procession. In its 5th year the massive procession started from Kotia Nirman, New Link Rd, Andheri West, Mumbai till Juhu Circle.

Renowned names from Bollywood & Television including- Dalljiet Kaur, Munmun Dutta, Rakesh Bedi, Rajit Kapur, Krish Chauhan (Child artist Kush from the show Luv-Kush), Antara Banerjee, Amrapali Gupta, Kritika Sharma, Jasraj Jayant Joshi, Anita Bhatt, Saloni Daini, Shernaz Patel, Makarand Deshpande, Mandakini Bora  & many more participated in the Visarjan.

The drums were beating loud, the dances were ecstatic and the songs were hovering between the religious and the filmi. The festival tempo was high, the jaws - drooped.

There was zeal, vigour and colour as devotees moved to the beats of the dhol tasha. The sounds of the huge symbols, the lezium took over the sounds of the horns on the roads of Mumbai.

Asia’s largest Ganapathi visarjan had more than 3000 artists performing live from various parts of Maharashtra & South which included; Puneri Dhol, Nashik Benjo, Mumbai’s famous Dahi Handi Pathak, Varied Maharashtra Folk Dancers, 10- Maha Aarti at Juhu Beach & Captivating performances.

Coconut Cha Raja happens to be the only Ganpati celebration in Mumbai with a noble cause. Elaborating on the initiative, Director- Rashmin Majithia & Keyur Sheth - CEO of Coconut Media Box said "This year's theme is Pearl & Gold  which signifies purity. We introduced an initiative #IAMYOURBAPPA  to help the people in need and fulfill any one wish which can be achieved by common people. Every person has an opportunity to fulfill 1 wish which he / she can afford. #IAMYOURBAPPA objective for this Ganesh Utsav is to achieve 5000 needy people"

While more than 4000 devotees were on the roads in a span of 4 hours, security of 300 Policemen ensured the processions made its way without hassles or untoward incident. Bappa ko Pranam Aur aap ko Salam an initiative to salute all the police men of Mumbai and appreciating them with token of gratitude & certificate.
