The lockdown implemented, because of the coronavirus pandemic, initiated an underlying debate of the privileges of the rich and poor once again. While the rich stayed at home, the poor masses took to the roads to go back to their homes. Actor Sudipto Balav, who was recently seen in Chris Hemsworth's "Extraction", feels that there is huge difference between the privileges of the rich and the poor in our country.

Because the disparity between these two segments are huge. While the priviledged is deprived of the luxuries of life, like shopping, dining, outing, going to the gym, the underprivileged segment is unable to fend for basic amenities, like food for the family, rent, medical needs etc. So these two worlds are completely different altogether," he said.

In 2008, he featured in "2 Harihar Nagar", which marked his debut in the Malayalam industry. Asked about his views on if the lockdown would have helped some smokers quit it for good - "Well, I think if anyone has been able to quit smoking due to the lockdown and being confined within their house, I think this is the best reason to be happy," Sudipto said.
