The Dream Role! Every actor yearns for triumph in the realm of entertainment.
New Update

Every actor yearns for triumph in the realm of entertainment. Beyond seeking recognition and fame, they desire to portray diverse roles that captivate their imagination and that of their audience. Speaking of which, a couple of &TV artists talk about the characters that inhabit their dreams and someday bring them to life on stage or screen. These include artists such as Darshan Dave (Randheer Sharma, Doosri Maa), Charrul Malik (Rusa, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Leena Goenka (Dimple, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai).Darshan Dave (Randheer Sharma, Doosri maa) 2 Darshan Dave, essaying Randheer Sharma in Doosri Maa, shares, “What excites the actor in me is strong, compelling, and authentic characters that the audience can relate to and etch a place in their heart. It would not be wrong to say that I recently got an opportunity to essay such a character - the role of Randheer Sharma in &TV’s Doosri Maa. With its multiple layers, Randheer will keep the audience on the edge of their seats, making his character quite intriguing and stark. Although my acting career, I have depicted various roles and each being notable. However, there still exists a particular character and genre that I aspire to explore in the future. Hailing from Jaipur, my deep-rooted fascination with history propels me to yearn for involvement in historical projects. The opportunity to portray a character like Bajirao on the silver screen has always been a dream role of mine. Delving into the psyche of such a persona would prove both challenging and exhilarating. To walk in their shoes and gain a profound understanding would be an enthralling journey. Looking ahead, I aim to step into the shoes of a character like this and bring their story to life on screen.”Charrul Malik (Rusa, Happu ki Ultan Paltan)Charrul Malik, aka Rusa from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “In my constant quest for roles that evoke an irresistible connection with the audience, one character which stands out as the epitome of charm and endearment is ‘Geet' from Imtiaz Ali's film, ‘Jab We Met.’ Under Ali's masterful direction, Kareena Kapoor breathed life into this character with sheer brilliance. I have lost count of the times I have watched this film. I find myself falling in love with Geet all over again. The movie and the character have etched a special place in our hearts. The film's magic persists as it resonates with audiences of all generations. Geet's vibrant spirit, infectious energy, and ability to bring a smile to our faces are qualities that endure the test of time. If destiny were to grant me the opportunity to portray a character reminiscent of Geet in the future, it would be nothing short of an ideal role. To inhabit a character with such depth, to captivate hearts, and to create an everlasting impact on the audience would be a privilege and a dream come true. Geet's portrayal is a timeless reminder of the power of storytelling and the potential for characters to transcend the screen and forge a profound connection with viewers.” Leena Goenka (Dimple, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai)Leena Goenka, aka Dimple from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “Stepping into the shoes of Dimple's character in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai is akin to living a dream, although it may not have been the role I had always envisioned. As an ardent admirer of the show, I am grateful for this opportunity. However, my ultimate aspiration is to portray a formidable police officer. The character essayed by Rani Mukerji in the film ‘Mardaani’ perfectly encapsulates the kind of police officer I deeply desire to bring to life on the silver screen. Such a commanding figure, driven by an unwavering determination to protect and save lives, is fascinating. I admire the indomitable spirit of those who serve in the police force. Their steadfast dedication and sacrifices inspire me, and I yearn to channel their essence into a portrayal that resonates with audiences, leaving a lasting impression on their hearts and minds.”
