The well known director Krishna Mishra who  has directed films like Wounded on the Bandit Queen Phoolan Devi announced at a press conference at his office at Juhu that the first ever Uttar Pradesh International Film Festival will be held for three days from February 28 to March 1 this year at Varanasi (Kashi). Te aim behind organizing the festival, he added is to give expression of freedom to that feature, animation. Documentary and short film makers besides web series and music videos/albums, who are looking for international exposure. Entries can be made online at our official website www.upinternationalfilmfestival.com “India is a fast developing country in the world with its multiple cultures, traditions and spirituality while Uttar Pradesh is the largest State in the country. We at U.P. International Film Festival are going to present the art, culture, traditions and the places of tourist interest in U.P to the world community by organizing the 3 days International Film Festival in Varanasi in Kashi, he added.

Kumar Mohan, The publisher-Editor of the weekly trade weekly Bollywood & TV Reporter, who was also present at the conference stated that a number of people have dedication as well as passion to produce feature and short films but because of the scarcity of funds and resources, are unable to find a platform to display  their feature and short films. “We at U.P. International Film festival will provide them an International platform to present their unique works to the global audiences. The winners will also be given handsome cash prizes along with the unique trophies of the festival. Varanasi is the constituency of Prime Minister Modi and its for the first time that a festival of such grandeur is being organized on the beautiful Ganga ghats of Varanasi like Rajemdra Prasad Ghat and Assi Ghat and people will enjoy watching the world cinema  against the back drop of  the waves of Ganga. Once the film festival is over we are also planning to host a two days visit to all the national /international attendees of the film festival to Lord Shiva (Kashi Vishwanath temple, Sankat Mochan temple, Kaal Bhairav temple, Saranth Buddha temple, Special Ganga Aarti, Vindhyachal temple and Prayag Raj Sangam.
