The ITA School Of Performing Arts Presented The Record Breaking 18th ITA Awards 2018

The ITA School Of Performing Arts presented the record breaking 18th ITA Awards 2018, with a difference, at Sahara Star, Mumbai. First time ever, a National Television Awards Show was ‘Live-streamed’ digitally on Hotstar, with the added attraction of augmented reality being used in real time. The event was brilliantly hosted by Maniesh Paul who stole the show with his quick wit & brilliant repartee. There were acts by Cyrus Broacha & Kunal Vijaykar, Sunil Grover, Gaurav Gera & the team of Bhabijji Ghar Par Hai team of Shubhangi Atre Porey, Asif Sheikh & Rohitashv Gaur.

The who's who of the television industry was in attendance including Jeetendra, Ekta Kapoor, Sunny Leone, R. Madhavan, Vineet Jain, Kalli Purie, Anushka Ranjan, Aditya Seal, Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Divyanka Tripathi, Anita Hasanandani, Mohit Raina, Harshad Chopra, Mahima chaudhry, Helly Shah, Surbhi chandna, Kailash Kher, Shaan, Anu Malik, Aarti Chabria, Rohit Roy, Pearl Purie, Mohit Mallik, & many others.

The ITA jury comprised eminent people from the Television industry & was helmed by veteran actor Jeetendra.

Anu Ranjan, President of The ITA said “We are excited to explore the digital medium & are geared up to cater to the new generation of TV viewers. It is a challenge to go live & unedited & it hasn’t been attempted before. Besides the overwhelming response from the industry in terms of participation, we have received over 1.6 crore popular votes through SMS & internet voting. Last years popular votes stood at over 1.1 crore & we have surpassed that by some margin.”

Shashi Ranjan, Convenor of The ITA said “It has been a long journey of 18 years. The ITA awards has been a baby we have nurtured and as it reaches adulthood we are thrilled to embark on a new journey by exploring the digital medium. We have constantly innovated & kept with the times. It is the only way to keep growing & staying relevant in this fast changing modern era of the internet world”
