The Makers Of Fatteshikast Host A Dry Thasnksgiving Party To Celebrate The Success Of Their Film

When Almond Creations and AAA Films jointly invited the media to take part in a ‘thanksgiving party’ for the phenomenal success of their film Fatteshikast produced by Ajay Arekar- Aniruddha Arekar and directed by Digpal Lanjhekar at the Worli based Sunville Banquet, we were delighted and all set to chill out in the evening but were extremely disappointed to know that it was going to be a pre- Christmas evening but a dry one, because as the PR person Ganesh Gargote told us, the director did not want to have a cocktail party for reasons best known to him though it was his second film after Farzand and the same team had hosted a grand party for the success of the film at the Mayfair at Worli for that. Though Anup Soni who played the role of Shahista Khan for the first time in a Marathi film as well as Mrinal Kulkarni were conspicuous by their absence at the event, present at the venue were Sameer Dharmadhikari, Mrinmayee Deshpande, Chinmay Mandlekar, Akshay Waghmare, who is related to the late Dada Kondke etc besides the producer -duo and the director. The silver lining of the evening which started late by almost two hours at 9 pm instead of 7 pm was that each and every journalist from the print as well as the TV fraternity was called out and given a silver sovereign and a floral bouquet, like the producer-duo had given at their thanksgiving party for Farzand too. Also the producer-duo announced that they will be launching their next historical Marathi film called Jungjauhar, also to be directed by Digpal Lanjhekar in the New Year with great fanfare.
