THE NATIONAL CENTRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS (NCPA) PRESENTS THE DIGITAL SERIES, ‘NCPA@HOME’, FOR CULTURE ENTHUSIASTS

With intent to spread positivity through art in these unprecedented times, India’s premier cultural institution, the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), has introduced an invigorating digital series, ‘NCPA@home’. The series showcase includes exclusive videos and content from across genres - Indian Music, Dance, International Music, and the Symphony Orchestra of India from NCPA's extensive archival library. Curated specially for art and music enthusiasts, patrons can enjoy some of the finest performances on NCPA’s YouTube channel at 6pm, from the confines of their home.The NCPA@home digital series will continue throughout the month of April and present the best of the arts for patrons.

Speaking about this initiative, Mr. K N Suntook, Chairman and SOI founder NCPA, said, “The NCPA is a repository of great artistic treasures. Our genre heads and the NCPA team have worked hard to put this together. As a cultural organisation, we felt this treasure must be shared in these difficult times in the safest way possible. The best of concerts, lecture-demonstrations and workshops presented at the NCPA can now be viewed online on our YouTube channel. We are grateful for the support that we have received from the artistes”.

The NCPA@home digital series is an opportunity for all to witness performances by celebrated artistes in the field of dance and music. It has showcased performances by stalwarts such as Mallika Sarabhai, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Aditi Mangaldas, Mud Morganfield and soulful performances by the Symphony Orchestra. The series further includes presentations, lecture demonstrations and masterclasses.
