We are always excited to see R. Madhvan gracing our screen but this time he has something special for us. Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is the directorial debut of the celebrated Tamil and Hindi actor. It is slated to release on 1st July 2022 in five different languages namely; Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, and English.

Rocketry is an upcoming biographical drama that is based on the life of an Indian aerospace engineer, Nambi Narayan. He worked in ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) for many decades.

In 1994, Nambi was charged with the offense of leaking important data to the alleged Maldivian Defence Intelligence Service officers. R. Madhvan is reprising the role of the titular rocket scientist Narayan Nambi.

Yash Raj Films (YRF) recently unveiled the second trailer of the film. The duration of the trailer is just above a minute. In a very snappy and intriguing manner, we see Nambi talking about the much-needed improvement in Indian aerospace. We see him commenting on the lower configurations of the engines in India as compared to the world, “It’s not Rocketry but mere puppetry.”

A vital concept of nationalism and its hold over a nation is also highlighted in the trailer. We are assuming that after serious allegations are leveled against Nambi, he faces various forms of torture and harassment.

We see Mandhvan’s Nambi stating that “The best way to eliminate a dog is to declare it insane. Similarly, the best way to bring a man down is to declare him an anti-national”.

“Sometimes a man wronged is a nation wronged”, these are the closing words of the trailer. It would be very interesting to see how this film is received by the audience. The film also stars a talented cast of Simran, Rajit Kapur, Gulshan Grover, and more.

We will also see the guest appearances by the superstars, Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya. The film is written, directed, and co-produced by R. Madhvan himself. Catch the movie on 1st July 2022 in the theatres near you.
