Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh Sharma founded Clean Slate Filmz, an independent production studio, in 2013 and from the very beginning, have demonstrated their intent to break new ground with 'NH10' on subjects that address honor killings and patriarchal violence. It was followed by 'Phillauri', which was a romantic comedy with a twist and was followed by 'Pari', a supernatural horror film, and 'Paatal Lok', which was about the caste-driven divide, corruption in politics, and media. A powerful procedural film featuring law enforcement agencies starring Jaideep Ahlawat and was The series streamed on Amazon Prime with great success. The duo has also produced 'Bulbul', 'My: A Mother's Rage' and 'Kaala' for Netflix. Even though Anushka quits Clean Slate Films in 2022, she will be seen as the lead star in the sports biopic 'Chakda Express' and will play cricketer Jhulan Goswami.
Ayushman Khurana and Aparshakti Khurana
These multi-talented Chandigarh boys both from outside the film industry have made their way into the Hindi film industry with their courage. Ayushmann Khurrana rose to fame when he won the second season of MTV Roadies in 2004, then went on to become a successful anchor and made his acting debut in 2012 with 'Vicky Donor'. After a National Film Award and four Filmfare Awards, he has established himself as a risk taker who has worked in films like 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha', 'Bareilly Ki Barfi', 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan', 'Badhaai Ho', 'As it was based on offbeat human stories. Aparshakti was the captain of the Haryana Under-19 cricket team and then went on to become a radio jockey and television host. He then made his acting debut as Mahavir Phogat's nephew in the sports biopic 'Dangal' (2016) and appeared in supporting roles in films like 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania', 'Stree' etc before 2021's 'Helmet'. Recently, he made a big impact as the calculating Binod Das in Amazon Prime's series 'Jubilee'.
Aakarsh Khurana and Aadar Khurana
Siblings Akash and Aadar Khurana hail from a prestigious family, as their father Akash Khurana is a distinguished actor, director, writer and theater exponent. Akash is the founder of Aquarius Productions and Aadar is also an actor, writer and director, though he initially studied forensic science in Glasgow. Aadar also worked as an assistant director for Akash's 2018 film 'Caravan' and the two co-founded Troika Productions. In recent times, Aadar has starred in Zee Theatre's 'Yeh Shaadi Nahi Ho Sakti', a fun, family comedy directed by Akarsh, and the duo have also co-directed the teleplay, 'Dhoompaan'. Aakash continues to make a creative mark with stage, OTT and film productions and teleplays like 'Stand Up' and 'Some Times' and most recently directed Zee Theatre's suspense thriller 'Gunehgaar'. He was also in the news for directing Taapsee Pannu starrer 'Rashmi Rocke t'.
Vicky Kaushal and Sunny Kaushal
Despite being sons of action director Shyam Kaushal, Vicky and Sunny Kaushal were not served on the stardom platter. Vicky assisted Anurag Kashyap in 'Gangs of Wasseypur', played small roles in 'Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana' and 'Bombay Velvet' and then gave a stellar performance in Neeraj Ghaywan's 'Masaan'. After this, he won gold medal in hit films like 'Uri', 'Raazi', 'Sardar Udham', 'Zara Hatke Zara Bachke' and will soon be seen as Sam Bahadur in the biopic based on Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. Sunny initially enrolled in The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India but later chose acting. Like his brother, he too started his career with a few roles and was an assistant director in 2014's 'Gunday'. Recently he has been seen in lead roles in projects like 'Gold', 'Shiddat' and 'Chor Nikal Ke Bhaa ga'.
