You have won people's hearts with your different characters, and now you are playing the character of Jagmohan Kumawat ji in this show, what would you like to say about this character?
I consider myself lucky that I am getting to play different types of characters. This character is an idealistic journalist. This is like a tribute to all the journalists who enter the field without understanding anything. A journalist is no less than a soldier. A journalist also first thinks about the people, society, and country and then he thinks about himself. It's a big deal for me to play this character, and being a part of such a big project is a big deal in itself. I am very happy to work with the dream cast, crew, and director.
Your dialogue from Aspirant 1 “My financial condition is not good” went viral and now your dialogue from this show, “I write the truth, that's why my newspaper does not do well” is going viral. How do you deliver dialogue like this?
I will just say it the way you say it now. I try to stay in character as much as I can in that situation so that I can make people believe what I am saying. I try to live the character, and then when our writers write it so beautifully, we just say it. Lucky that people like it. We don't think that it will go viral but if people like it then I feel happy.
The cast of this show is very amazing. How was the narration of this story given to you?
The first call I got was from Sanu Ji. Then I met the show's director Shiv and he gave me a little idea of the script. When he told me, I found it very interesting, and when I read the story, I felt that this is an offer that you cannot refuse. The entire script was very well written, I liked my role very much. After meeting Shiv, I got the feeling that he wanted to make this show with all his heart. Shiv and the entire team have done a great job, the results of which you can see.
What was your reaction when you came to know that this is YRF's first web series?
We all have been watching Yash Raj since childhood. From the moment I got Sanu's call, I was very happy and excited about it.
After Aspirant 1, Aspirant 2 came which people liked and loved a lot. Now people are waiting for Aspirant 3, what would you like to say about it?
There is only one love, whether it is 1 or 2, people are giving love to Sandeep Bhaiya. Love is the same, and we work for happiness in the heart. You feel good when people appreciate you for your work. We get confidence and motivation from their love and appreciation.
You took a long break. In between, your small series also came, and a separate series on Sandeep Bhaiya came, so now will the audience get to see Sandeep Bhaiya 2, or will season 3 of Aspirant come directly?
They will be able to tell you only TVF. Those people write, work hard and decide all the things, then their address would be known. We hope whatever comes will be good.
A team does research before making any show. What is your research work as an actor?
I also did my own research; I saw some things from the internet. I asked the team for their research work so that I could study it. I also looked online, and whatever I could find related to the Bhopal Gas Tragedy, and whatever information I could gather, I did. And there are scripts, this is how the work was done.
Apart from this, are you working on anything else?
Yes, something will definitely come, let's see when we announce it.
