Tera Yaar Hoon Main on Sony SAB touched upon another highly-relatable topic - the craze behind viral videos on social media - Jyothi Venkatesh

Rishabh’s (Ansh Sinha) obsession towards his online presence grew to an extent where he risks his life to create a viral video.

The show took an exciting turn as Ansh’s caring father Rajeev (Ssudeep Sahir) tries a unique way to make his son realize the importance of real offline connections.

To cheer Dadaji (Rajendra Chawla) up, Rishabh and Rajeev created a video where Rajeev turns into Dadaji and Rishabh plays Rajeev’s character – to create a fun video full of nostalgia.

But, the video which was created to put a smile on Dadaji’s face, by mistake, gets uploaded on Trishala’s (Neeharika Roy) social media page.

The video goes viral soon making Rishabh almost a celebrity in his school and his society.

Amazed with this new found popularity, Rishabh gets obsessed with his social media platforms and wishes to create another viral video.

In a bid to be popular and liked by everyone in his virtual world, Rishabh decides to record a daring video that possesses danger to his life.

Shocked to see his son take such a step for popularity and likes, Rajeev takes the matter in own hands and decides to teach his son a lesson.

What has Rajeev planned this time? Will Rishabh realize the importance of real connections?

Ansh Sinha, essaying the role of Rishabh said, “The story was really relatable. It was absolute fun shooting for this.

I transformed into my reel life father Rajeev and donned a moustache for the first time. I must say, it was really challenging to perform with a moustache.

Ssudeep also helped me get the look right and gave me tips to play Rajeev with perfection.

While there were a lot of fun sequences, the episodes also witnessed Rishabh getting swayed away by the desire of making an online presence. It was interesting to watch what lengths he will go to create a viral video.”

Ssudeep Sahir, essaying the role of Rajeev said, “Tera Yaar Hoon Main was set to incorporate the most topical and relatable subject, the popularity of viral videos on social media and how one can get affected by it.

The storyline beautifully incorporated this subject with light hearted humour. The viewers again saw Rajeev coming up with yet another unique plan to help his son break this obsession of creating viral videos and find connections offline with his family. It had a beautiful underlying message, with a bit of laughter and emotion."
