Gurvinder Singh is presently admitted in Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana and is undergoing treatment, talking about the incident he said, "Yesterday on Sunday, Sidhu Moose Wala had gone out to inquire about his aunt's well being as She had been ill for a long time, Seeing the opportunity, the killers opened fire on his car."

He further added that he was sitting in the back of the car and another friend Gurpreet Singh was sitting next to him and there was no space for more 'people to sit in the car so he did not make his security personnel sit with him.

"As soon as we reached a little far from our village there was a fire from behind and a car came and stopped in front of us then a man came in front of the vehicle and started firing after which Sidhu also came forward while defending and fired two shots but the men in front of us had automatic guns due to which they kept firing continuously. After Sidhu's 2 fires, they started firing from all sides, We tried very hard to run away but we were surrounded".
