Four films have been released in Bollywood with the title Anari. The fifth film named 'Anari', the new film "Anari is Back" was released in theatres on 24 November 2023, 24 years after the previous Anari. "Anari" (1959)

'Anari' starring Raj Kapoor and Nutan in the lead roles was a musical hit film released in 1959. The hero of the film, Rajkumar (Raj Kapoor) is a simple and sincere young man who, due to his simplicity, gets accused in the murder case of his landlord who was killed by poisoning. Raj Kumar and Aarti (Nutan) love each other. All the songs of this film were popular - 'Sabkuch Shikha humne na sikhi hoshiari', 'Ban ke panchhi', 'Kisi ki muskarahaton pe'. This film received the Filmfare Award for the music. Motilal, Lalita Pawar, Nana Palsikar also had strong roles in the film. The director of the film was Hrishikesh Mukherjee.

"Anari" (1975)

Shashi Kapoor, Sharmila Tagore, Moushumi Chatterjee, Kabir Vedi, Kader Khan, etc. were in the lead roles in the film 'Anari' based on a poverty story. The story of the film is set in the background of poverty where the father is a drug addict and the children are struggling to survive. The love of Raj (Shashi Kapoor) and Poonam (Sharmila Tagore) is a part of this turbulent life. The film was produced by Satish Bhatia and Inder Kumar and the music was composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. "Anari" (1993)

The title of the film which South star Venkatesh had chosen to make his debut in Hindi films was also kept as 'Anari'. Karisma Kapoor was considered a hit heroine in the year 1993. This film directly depicts the simple affection between Sade Rama (Venkate) and Raj Nandini (Karisma). The film revolves around the love of three landlord brothers (Suresh Oberoi, Gulshan Grover, and Adi Irani) for their younger sister and the crimes they commit against servant Rama and his mother Savitri (Rakhee). Widow Savitri gets married to a mad boy (Raju Shrestha) in the Bhari Panchayat. The songs 'Phoolon Se Chehra Tera' and 'Rona Chahein Ro Na Sakne' composed by Anand Milind touch the hearts of the audience. It was one of the most successful films of that year.

"Anari No. 1" (1999)

This was a film of Govinda's famous style and his successful film days. The story of the film was about the love of a hotel waiter Raja (Govinda) and Sapna (Raveena Tandon). Govinda had another form (Rahul) in the film. Govinda, Raveena Tandon, Simran, Kader Khan, Prem Chopra, and Johnny Lever were in the lead roles in this film. This film was also a successful film of the year 1999 at the box office.

"Anari Is Back" (2023)

'Anari is Back', the Hindi remake of the hit Tamil language film 'Chinna Thambi' (1991), is an entertaining film that reached the theaters this week. The producer of this film is Pahlaj Nihalani. Munesh Rawat has directed. The film stars Mithun Chakraborty along with Mishika Chaurasia, and Nawab Khan in the lead role. This is an entertaining film starring Shakti Kapoor, Anita Raj, and Manoj Bajpayee. The music of the film has been directed by Ishwar Kumar and the stunts have been given by Tinu Verma.
