"The subject of Lafzon mein pyaar has a certain freshness of its own , which I was keen on projecting on the big screen"

DHIRAJ MISHRA tells JYOTHI VENKATESH in this exclusive interview for bollyy.com and Mayapuri

Renowned film writer and director Dhiraj Mishra who is known for his films on patriotism is now making a romantic film for the first time in his career titled Lafzon mein pyaar, the shooting of which has already commenced in Mumbai and Bhadrwah Kashmir.

After making films on patriotism , what made you veer towards making an out and out romantic film titled Lafzon mein pyaar?

We all are students of the 90's and hence romantic films always have had a place in all our hearts. I had written a novel called Pathjhad Aur Bahaar and hence felt that I should set out to make a film and that thought had actually triggered off the idea of making the film

What is the main original plot of the film?

The main plot of the film is a love triangle of a young music teacher who falls in love with his student. He writes poems inspired by her but the family members of the protagonist plan to get him married off to some other girl

What is the highlight of the film Lafzon mein pyaar?

The highlight of the film are the mellifluous songs of the film which have been penned by Ashok Sawhny Sahil, which I am sure will be able to lend yet another dimension to the romantic film.

Why do veteran and versatile stars always figure in the star cast of your films?

You are right. I have always been of the opinion that a blend of versatile and veteran actors and young new actors tend to give the film a certain diffrerent aesthetic look of its own. This time, in Lafzon mein pyaar, I have set out to cast seasoned artists like Anita Raj, Zarina Wahab,Lalit Parimoo and last but not the least Mir Sarwar, besides Vivek Anand Mishra who is playing the main lead in the film.

You have cast along with Vivek Anand Mishra a newcomer like Kanchan Rajput and Parshant Rai All are rank new faces. What made you zero in on these rank new faces?

We zeroed in on the two of them after having conducted several screen tests to make sure their calibre as actors, especially since the subject has a certain freshness of its own , which I was keen on projecting per se on the big screen

How tough was it to get both Zarina Wahab and Anita Raj as part of your star cast in the film Lafzon mein pyaar?

Both Zarinaji as well as Anitaji are not only extremely senstiive artists but also very professional to the core and since I had earlier worked with both of them, the moment they heard the screenplay, they immediately agreed to be an intrinsic part and parcel of my film.
