Sony Entertainment Television's popular show Mere Sai – Shraddha aur Saburi has always been on the receiving end of the audience’s love and admiration as it showcases inspiring, eye-opening tales that evoke a positive message.
The upcoming track of the show will bring to light the story of a woman who is harassed by her husband and in-laws for dowry. Sai steps in and help her fight the situation head-on!
Kirtida Mistry will be seen essaying the role of Sugandha, a girl whose parents give abundant dowry at the time of her marriage in the hope that it will keep her happy in her new abode and family.
But that becomes a hook for her greedy in-laws to keep demanding more and more dowry from her parents on regular basis in some form or the other, while keeping the girl in the dark.
This goes on till the girl's parents are left impoverished and struggling for their own survival.
Talking about the track, Tushar Dalvi aka Sai Baba shares, “This track is a reminder of how the society must value and nurture its women.
The parents should be the first ones to make their daughters feel worthy of respect and admiration.
Parents should realize that they should not let their daughter’s worth be weighed down by an amount."
Adding to this, he said, " I feel that materialism is the main driving force for dowry and the the modern name for it is "gifts.”
Now the ray of hope is only seen in the new generation of boys and girls, who are educated and have modern thinking.
They should stand up and fight this social evil, and if such an incident occurs in their own family, they should also oppose it.”
"The Motive of the makers of putting this track is to showcase the futility of the dowry system, which has only increased crimes against women.” he signed off.
