Theatres Cancelling Early Morning Shows Of Salman Khan's Race 3

Salman Khan's Race 3 is doing good on box-office having earned Rs 132 crore in its five-day run, film trade analyst Sumit Kadel predicts a downfall for Remo D'souza directed film. In an interview with Zoom, Sumit said that the film has now "completely crashed" and there are fewer chances for the film to pick up pace after this.

Race 3 was running at 4600 screens when it opened on Friday. But now, owing to the disastrous word of mouth, the screens have come down to 3700-3800. Today itself, early morning shows of the film got cancelled in some circuits. The shows which did run registered an occupancy of 10-12 per cent,” said Sumit.

According to Sumeet, Had it not been Eid holiday, Race 3 would have lost its business of at least Rs 40 crore. The trade analyst predicted the second-weekend figures and said; “The film will do not more than Rs 15 crore in its second weekend.”

For the lifetime collection of the film, he said;  “It will not go beyond Rs 170 crore by the end of its box-office run.”

Race 3 starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem in the lead roles hit the screen on June 15 and received negative reviews thus resulting in the downfall of the box office collection of film.
