These Bollywood stars expressed their grief at the funeral of Vetran Singer Lata Mangeshkar

Veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away at the age of 92 and was cremated with full state honors at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on Sunday, Hon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attended the funeral and paid tribute to the singer.

She was admitted to the hospital after got diagnosed with pneumonia and later tested positive for COVID-19 in January due to which she was on the Ventilator for weeks and later on 28th January doctors took her off from the Ventilator because her health was improving but yesterday Senior Doctor Dr Pratit Samdani who is treating her said that she has shifted to ICU (intensive care unit) after her health deteriorated once again on saturday.

Late Lata Mangeshkar's family members reached at the Shivaji Park which includes her brother Hridaynath Mangeshkar and her Nephew Adinath Mangeshkar (Son of Hridaynath Mangeshkar) sisters Usha Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle, later her Body was Criminated at Shivaji Park at 7:16 pm on Sunday by her brother Hridaynath Mangeshkar, defense personnel also handed over the National Flag to her nephew Adinath Mangeshkar in which Lata Mangeshkar's body was wrapped, her fans were also joined her last rites and funeral at the Shivaji park.

Her last rituals were scheduled at 6:30 PM, a team of 8 Pandits has also reached the park for her last rites, they have also performed "Mantra Agni Anusthan" for her for about half an hour. According to Chief Pandit Satish Ghodge, this ritual of chanting mantras is meant to pray for the deceased.

Apart from PM Narendra Modi, actor Ranbir Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, Vidya Balan, Anuradha Paudwal, Javed Akhtar, Aamir Khan and his daughter Ira Khan, and other celebrities were seen paying floral tributes to Lata Mangeshkar.

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar and his nephew Ajit Pawar along with Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray consoled the Mangeshkar family members.
