In the film, Saurabh Shukla is seen essaying the character of Amrish Puri's accomplice who is a moral police head. Nayak: The Real Hero revolves around a common journalist played by Anil Kapoor who accepts a challenge by the chief minister of Maharashtra to run the state for one day, and makes such a success of it that soon he is embroiled in political intrigue.
