Tej Tiku will also be seen.

While the three-hour long film "The Kashmir Files" shook the entire nation, now this series is even more heart-wrenching, eye-opening and goosebumps. Because it directly exposes the unverified realities, facts and truth behind the genocide and exodus of Kashmiri Pandits. It also traces the centuries-old journey of Kashmir, the paradise on earth, its importance to India, its people and culture and their evolution from a melting pot of civilization and knowledge, to being repeatedly attacked, radicalized and systematically reduced to a war zone.

Manish Kalra, Chief Business Officer, ZEE5 says, “The Kashmir Files received an overwhelming response from our viewers due to the real and relatable stories of Kashmiri Pandits featured in it. In the new series 'The Kashmir Files Unreported', Vivek Agnihotri carefully studies the history, culture and geopolitical complexities of the region through academics, researchers, historians and real-life experiences of the people of Kashmir. With the growing popularity of real stories that bring to the fore the hidden truths of our society, we at ZEE5 are working with creators to enrich our library with engaging stories for our viewers.”

Nimisha Pandey, Content Head, ZEE5 said, “This is our second docu-series after Break Point. This format provides a unique opportunity where the audience gets to experience the stories firsthand. In Kashmir Files Unreported, viewers will get to hear the chilling stories of Kashmiri Pandits from the very people who have lived through this tragedy. We hope that this show will be liked by the people as much as the film 'The Kashmir Files'. Vivek and Pallavi have been working on this for years and we are happy to present it to our audiences.

On this occasion, director and producer Vivek Agnihotri said, “The genocide in Kashmir is a blot not only on India but on humanity. It is considered to be the greatest hidden tragedy of modern times. It was very important to us to tell this story honestly. Till now all the reports that have come in films, literature and media are contemporary. After 32 years, when we made The Kashmir Files on the basis of 4 years of intensive research, it opened the eyes of the people. But there were polarizing views on the film. Some felt that the film merely portrayed reality and some felt that The Kashmir Files was a propaganda film.

Therefore, it was important to us to open up all the research and interviews we conducted in its purest and rawest form so that people could understand that the truth is hard to handle. I can guarantee that 'The Kashmir Files Unreported' will break your heart. But our intention is that we learn from history, and we develop an attitude of zero tolerance towards terrorism and we stand for humanity and our people.

While Pallavi Joshi, the producer of this dacoit series, said- 'Our film 'The Kashmir Files' was made after 4 years of extensive research. When the Kashmiri Pandit community shared it with us about the deep pain and suffering they went through, it was very difficult for us to listen to their horror stories, not just because we were deeply moved by the pain and suffering they went through, but also because we felt so small. Realizing that this story was not told to us by the government, administration, media and others. When we made The Kashmir Files, it was a 3 hour long film, yet it was only the tip of the iceberg.

And when a section of the society started saying that it is a lie and a propaganda film, then we realized that the truth needs to come out in front of people in its real and naked form. So here we are coming with the dacoit series 'The Kashmir Files Unreported'. This series will show you the extensive research we have done. And you can hear from people's mouths the stories of unimaginable horrors and terror experienced by these pundits. So, this is a series that every Indian must watch because every Indian needs to know what Kashmir means to India and how it is and will continue to be an intrinsic part of our country.
