Trailer Of Darbaan Starring Sharib, Sharad, Flora Releasing On April 2nd, 2020 Unveiled

Post launching two interesting posters and an intriguing teaser, Opticus Picture Company unveiled the trailer of Darbaan, helmed by National Award winning director Bipin Nadkarni which is his Bollywood’s debut. The trailer launch was attended by Sharib Hashmi, Sharad Kelkar, Flora Saini and director-producer Bipin Nadkarni. Bipin says, “I directed two Marathi films- Uttarayan and Evda Sa Aabhaar as I am more close to the culture but wanted to tell a story like this in Hindi. We have worked very hard on this film.” Post the success of his films like Tanhaji in which he had essayed the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Sharad Kelkar shares, “My first role on a big screen was given to me in Uttarayan by Bipin Nadkarni in 2005 so I share a different bond with him. I am playing the role of Anukool in the film, small but very important role.”

Sharad, by the way, also confessed thyat he is agog wioth excitement to play thye role of a transgender in Lawrence D’Souza’s forthcoming Akshay Kumar starrer Laxmi Bomb- Sharad, who sauntwered in fashionably late by an hour and a half declared on the dais that Vipin is a director who pays for his audition in the form of an ad film  with the actor and then picks up the actor for his film, like he had cast Flora Saini after domng an ad film with her before he launched his film Darbaan, like he had cast him in  Darbaan after having made Uttarayan with him in the lead way back in 2005.

Sharib Hashmi says, “Shooting for Darbaan was my greatest experience. It is one of the closest films to my heart. I had a lovely chemistry with Sharad in the film.” Flora Saini says, “I shot an ad with Bipin sir (Nadkarni) and he offered me a film later. I am so thankful to him for offering me this role. I was so nervous while shooting one of the scenes where I had to cry but it went off so smooth.” The film narrates a heartwarming story of a caretaker and his master and is inspired by a short story penned by Rabindranath Tagore. Besides an interesting lead cast of Sharib Hashmi, Sharad Kelkar, Rasika Dugal and Flora Saini, the film also has Harsh Chhaya and Suneeta Sengupta in the pivotal roles.The music is composed by Amartya Bobo Rahut along with the additional song by Raajeev V Bhalla and one of the songs is crooned by Arijit Singh. The film is shot by Amalendu Chaudhary in the beautiful locales of Sikkim, Gujarat, Dhanbad, Wai and Mumbai. The film will be distributed by Reet Films all over.
