Not many have made an attempt to make a sequel of their films in Marathi, though several Hindi filmmakers have successfully come up like Sajid Nadiadwala has made Houseful and Raju Hirani has made Munnabhai series. Though till date the only Marathi film which has a good enough franchise value is Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai, the third sequel of which is slated to release later this year , the versatile writer-actress-producer-director Trupti Bhoir is so confident about the success of her latest Marathi film Majha Agadbam that she has even announced that she will launch the sequel of her film starring her in the lead with Subodh Bhave, Usha Nadkarni, Jaywant Wadkar even before the release of Majha Agadbam. Trupti stated this at the press show of her film at the Famous Studios. Trupti is known for her daring approach to films and unique way of making different kinds of films in different genres with different content, irrespective of the risks incurred. No other young and beautiful actress today would dare to cast herself as an ugly and obese fatso, who keeps on farting every now and then, in a film produced and directed by herself, like Trupti has done in Majha Agadbam which is about the fat daughter of a wrestler decision to avenge the humiliation of her father by a foreign wrestler and vowing to regain the honor of the country
