Amitabh Bachchan Shares Tips with Utkarsh to Make Perfect Rotis on KBC 16

In the Juniors week of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, young contestant Utkarsh Vasudev Mule from Hingoli, Maharashtra, will capture everyone's attention with his fun-loving personality and passion for cooking. In a delightful moment, Utkarsh asks Chef Kapoor a couple of questions that reflect his interest in cooking. The first is about the famous phrase "namak swaad anusaar" that Chef Kapoor often uses in his recipes. With a smile, Chef Kapoor humorously responds, “I’ve changed it now! I say ‘namak sehat anusar’ because people have started adding too much salt!” The fun continues as Utkarsh inquires about how to make perfect round rotis, a challenge he struggles with in the kitchen. Before Chef Kapoor can offer his advice, Amitabh Bachchan, with his characteristic wit, steps in and suggests, "Main bata sakta hu iska jawaab. Use the shape of a 'handi' (cooking pot) to shape your roti! Sahi keh raha hu ke nahi?" Even the veteran Chef Kapoor admitted that in his childhood, he used to attempt round rotis using a tea-saucer to exact the shape and while he now makes good roomali rotis, his wife makes better tawa rotis as compared to him.

As the conversation unfolds, Utkarsh shares a lighthearted moment with Mr. Bachchan, mentioning how he sees many similarities between himself and cricketer Rohit Sharma. “He plays cricket, and so do I. He tries hitting full shots, and I try as well. He’s a Maharashtrian, and so am I. He loves vada pav, and so do I. And, he’s a bit chubby, and so am I!”, leaving the host chuckling at his young candour and admitting that Rohit truly is an “adbhut khiladi, unko khel ka bahut gyaan hai.”
