On this occasion, Vasudha actor Abhishek Sharma said, “For me, this is a very special experience because Janmashtami is celebrated with a lot of grandeur in my house as well. On this day, various sweets are prepared at home, we watch the jhankis (tableaux) all night, and at 12 o’clock we place baby Krishna in a cradle and swing him. That’s why, for me, becoming Lord Krishna and embodying his form is a matter of great fortune. I feel truly blessed and I would like to thank the makers for giving me this opportunity.

Talking about my look – first of all, there is the flute in my hand. Apart from that, there are many bangles, a dupatta, jewellery, a waistband, a lungi, earrings, and of course, my long hair, which I really love. And yes, the peacock feather, which is Krishna’s true identity, is also an integral part of my look.”

On the other hand, Priya Thakur, who plays the role of Vasudha in the show, said, “Janmashtami was my favourite festival during childhood. There used to be a special excitement to dress up as Radha on this day. Sometimes, I even started preparations a week or ten days before. My mother would bring new colourful clothes for me every time. Once, she brought a blue dress for me. I was very disappointed because I felt only Krishna Ji could wear blue, not Radha. That day, I insisted on becoming Krishna myself. First, I dressed as Krishna and later, I became Radha too. This remains one of my sweetest childhood memories.

At that time, I did not know the deeper significance of Janmashtami. For me, it was all about dressing up nicely, eating sweets, and enjoying the day. But today, through Vasudha, when I got the opportunity to portray Radha’s form, it truly made me very happy.”
