The show introduces two modern, headstrong protagonists—fiercely independent and sharp-witted reporter Reet (played by Ayushi Khurana) and a temperamental man-child with a tough exterior that masks a wounded soul Raghav (played by Bharat Ahlawat). where Reet makes a startling choice to marry not for love, but as a ‘guarantee’ for her sibling's happiness. The show explores whether love can flourish in a marriage born out of familial obligation.
Jayati Bhatia Joins 'Shaitani Rasmein' as Intriguing Villain!
The latest addition to the star-studded cast is none other than the veteran actress Jayati Bhatia, who will be playing the negative lead in the show. Jayati will be seen bringing to life the strict and unpredictable family matriarch, Sharda Suryavanshi a.k.a Buaji. As the head of the Suryavanshi household, Buaji’s discipline, manipulations, and unwavering love for Raghav make her one of the most intriguing characters in the show. Though she’ll always be seen as a good person playing a motherly character to Raghav, she has an ulterior motive. Buaji's methods of managing the family bring an entertaining element, making her a perfect mix of authority and amusement.
Jayati Bhatia said “I’m thrilled to be a part of Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile. Buaji is a unique character who’s tough on the outside but has her own layers of vulnerability. She’ll always be seen as a good person playing a motherly character to Raghav, but actually has an ulterior motive, making her a negative character in the show. Playing such a strong, unpredictable matriarch is a challenge I’m looking forward to it, especially with the way her story intertwines with the younger generation. What makes this role even more special for me is that I’m playing my own age on-screen after nearly 10 years! Until now, I’ve been playing elderly roles, so stepping into a character that reflects my real age is refreshing. The concept of Aata Saata marriages is something new for me to explore, and it’s this intriguing premise that drew me to the role. It’s going to be a rollercoaster of emotions, and I’m excited to see how viewers react to her presence in the show.”
Conceptualized and created by Sonnal A Kakar, and produced by Goldie Behl and Sonnal A Kakar under Rose Audio Visuals Pvt. Ltd., Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile offers an emotional rollercoaster, where tradition collides with modern values. The show will captivate viewers with its fresh take on relationships, family dynamics, and the role of love in a transactional marriage.
