Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 Adds 'Super Sawaal' Twist to Double Winnings

Sony Entertainment Television's beloved ‘knowledge-based’ reality gameshow, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, is all set to premiere its 16th season on August 12 at 9:00 PM! Featuring the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, the channel recently unveiled a thought-provoking campaign, ‘Zindagi hai, har mod par sawaal puchegi, jawaab toh dena hoga’, sparking introspection on profound life truths. And now, the makers have announced the ‘Super Sawaal’ to enrich the contestants’ gameplay as they face questions that will take them one step closer to their dreams.

‘Super Sawaal’: Bonus Question & 2x Superpower on Game Show

An interesting element, the ‘Super Sawaal’ is a bonus question that appears after the first safe haven (Q5) and will have no options and no choice of using a lifeline. If answered correctly, contestants get the opportunity to use the 2x superpower or Dugnastra. The superpower enables the contestants to press the buzzer and double the winnings of a particular question of their choice from Q6 to Q10. So, if a contestant chooses to use the superpower at Q9 (INR 1,60,000), and answers correctly, he/she ends up with a bonus amount of 1,60,000 that will be added to their final winning amount. However, they may not use any lifelines while playing the Dugnastra.

The ‘Super Sawaal’ and subsequent use of the Dugnastra adds an extra layer of strategy to the gameplay, making it edgy, thrilling, and suspenseful.
