Drawing parallels with his earlier hit Fukrey, Pulkit pointed out how the setting plays a crucial role in shaping a film’s identity. “Fukrey bhi Delhi mein hi plot hai, aur Rahu Ketu ka bhi Shimla–Delhi side ka hi backdrop hai,” he shared, adding that this regional authenticity brings a unique charm to storytelling. Expressing his affection for the region, Pulkit said that North India offers a flavour unlike any other. From its people to its landscapes, everything feels deeply lived-in and honest. He highlighted how audiences have embraced these narratives over the years, especially with filmmakers like Dibakar Banerjee and Amrit Sharma bringing Delhi and North India’s cultural nuances to the forefront. According to the actor, these directors understand the region “rag rag se,” making their stories feel organic and relatable.

Pulkit believes that the shift from repeatedly showcasing Mumbai to exploring North Indian settings has been refreshing for Hindi cinema. “Yahan ke log, yahan ke libaaz, yahan ke pahaad—yeh sab aapko aur kahin nahi milta,” he said, adding that when audiences watch films like Rahu Ketu, they don’t just see a story unfold but actually feel the air and energy of North India. Yes! Hame north India se bahot pyaar hai, bahot pyaar hai, itne atrangi, itne pyaare, itne warm aur itne honest log milte hai na north India me aur har jagah ka ek alag flavour hota hai, right. Humne kitne saal dekh li mumbai nagari in films me, right to tab se diwakar jaise aur amrut jaise directors aaye hai tab se delhi ka flavour aur north India ka flavour thoda jyada aane laga hai films me kyoki logo ko pasand bhi aane laga hai aur unko rag rag maalum hai, jab aap amrut ki film dekhte hai, ya jab aap diwakar ki film dekhte hai ya jab aap rahu leti bhi dekhenge tab bhi aap north India ki hawa mehsoos kar paayenge and I think that is what excites us, is tarike ke pahaad aapko kahi nahi milenge, is tarike ke libaaz aapko aur kahi nahi milenge, is tarike ke log aapko aur kahi nahi milenge.
