Lagan Special follows the journey of Shekhar (Malhar Thakar) and Suman (Puja Joshi) through their arranged marriage. However, their journey encounters a hurdle when Suman discovers that Shekhar doesn’t truly love her. This revelation prompts Suman to call off the ceremony, igniting tensions between their families. Determined to win back her love, Shekhar embarks on an emotional journey to demonstrate his sincere devotion. Directed by  Rahul Bhole and Vinit Kanojia, and written by Suraj Baraliya, Lagan Special promises a delightful fusion of traditional wedding customs, foot-tapping music, infectious laughter, and heartfelt performances.

Opening up about the theme of Lagan Special and his character, Malhar Thakar said, “When I first heard the script from Suraj Baraliya, I was taken aback by the level of entertainment the movie promised. Shekhar, the character I portray, embodies the innocence and excitement of a man preparing for marriage, but confusion between the to-be-married couple leads to chaos. This sets Shekhar on a daunting task to win back Suman's trust. Now, as Lagan Special is releasing on ShemarooMe, the audiences will be able to resonate with every emotion Shekhar and Suman experience, drawn in by their undeniable chemistry.”

Puja Joshi, who plays Malhar's onscreen bride in the film, added, “Marriage is one of the most important days in a girl's life, and my character, Suman is just like any other girl eagerly awaiting her big day.
