Some stories transcend generations, faith, and tradition, leaving behind life lessons that are as relevant today as they were centuries ago. Sony SAB’s upcoming mythological show, Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki - Ganesh Kartikey, is one such tale that beautifully tells the journey of Lord Shiva (Mohit Malik) and Goddess Parvati’s (Shrenu Parikh) sons -  Lord Ganesha and Lord Kartikey, not just as deities but as family bound by love,  journeys, and life lessons that continue to resonate even today. Premiering from 6th October at 8 PM, the show promises to bring viewers closer to the timeless values of family, courage, and selflessness. (Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki Ganesh Kartikey Sony SAB)

 Nakuul Mehta

Sharing his thoughts, Nakuul Mehta said, “Living in Mumbai, I’ve visited Siddhivinayak Temple many times, but while shooting in Uttarakhand, I had the chance to visit the Kartikeya Swami Temple, a completely different experience. The peaceful atmosphere felt like the divine telling me, ‘Slow down, be patient, everything will fall into place.’ After visiting both Lord Ganesh and Lord Kartikeya’s shrines, I felt a sense of completeness. I now spend more time with my kids and feel calmer, more grounded. I even see my kids Rumi and Sufi as my little Ganesh and Kartikey, one wise and curious, the other bold and playful, constantly reminding me to stay balanced and grateful.” (Ganesh Kartikey Sony LIV streaming details)

Sudhanshu Pandey

Sudhanshu Pandey expressed, “During my childhood vacations, my family often traveled to Kedarnath, where I first connected with Lord Shiva, and later in Ujjain at Mahakaal Temple, this bond deepened. Lord Shiva’s personality has always inspired me, especially seeing him as a father through the stories of Lord Ganesh and Lord Kartikeya. As a father of two, I often wonder if I’m doing right by my children, and these stories give me guidance and peace. Even as an ascetic, Lord Shiva balances family life with love and discipline. His tales continue to answer the questions I carry in my heart.” (Sony SAB mythological series Ganesh Kartikey cast)

 Shivangi Joshi

Adding her perspective, Shivangi Joshi said,“Every Raksha Bandhan, I tie two rakhis, one to my younger brother and one to my elder brother, Lord Ganesh. He has been my confidant since childhood, the one I share everything with. The world may not know my secrets, but Bappa always does, and he guides me through subtle signs. Once, during a moment of self-doubt, I visited a Kartikeya Swami temple and felt an instant sense of calm and clarity. That day gave me renewed faith, and since then, I tie an extra rakhi every year for him too. The stories of Lord Ganesh, Lord Kartikeya, and the Shiv Parivaar continue to inspire me every day.”

Shakti Arora

Shakti Arora added, “As a child, I always felt my mother loved my sisters more than me! To get my way, I would have to argue like a lawyer, cry, and plead, while my sisters’ smallest wishes were fulfilled instantly. Every Navratri, when I stand before the huge idol of Goddess Durga and see Lord Ganesh and Lord Kartikeya beside her, my mother’s words come back to me, a mother loves all her children equally, just in different ways. Even in the stories of Ganesh and Kartikey, there are moments where Mother Parvati is accused of loving one son more than the other. These stories remind me that a mother’s actions are always for her children’s growth, even if she sometimes appears strict. Over time, I’ve found myself complaining less and understanding her more.”

With celebrated actors sharing how the stories of Shiv Parivaar resonate with their own lives, Ganesh Kartikey is set to bring mythology closer to the hearts of viewers in a way that feels both divine and deeply personal. (Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki premiere date and time)
