Twinkle Khanna aka Mrs. Funny bones, who is known for her sarcastic and witty sense of humour, was in the news this week yet again for something she posted on Twitter. On Friday, she shared a photo from her morning walk of a man defecating on a beach in Mumbai. The caption read, "Good morning and I guess here is the first scene of Toilet Ek Prem Katha part 2 #WhenYourWalkGoesDownTheToilet".
Almost instantly, Twitterati reacted to this. While there were many who condemned the act by the unidentified man, there was a whole section which basically termed this as "man shaming". Thanks to them, we now know what the male version of slut shaming is called.
Ummm...logic goes for a toss
Shouldn't the man apologise for playing with his dignity?
What about the women and mothers who had to see him doing this early in the morning

We agree with you Sharell Cook
If we look at this on the grounds of ethics, since nothing about the man other than his ass is visible, this photo is in no way insulting the modesty of a human being. Secondly, open defecation is a massive problem in the country which has been highlighted time and again with national dailies carrying explicit photos of men (and women) pooping in the open.
So, what is so wrong with a celebrity condemning someone who is putting their backside on display in a very public place? Well that is exactly what is wrong, they're a celebrity. For a tolerant, liberal nation, we really can make an issue out of anything.
