Just a week after the #MeToo movement was trending on the internet, an extremely alarming and disgustful incident took place on Saturday night at the Hollywood Bowl. Harry Styles was performing at the We Can Survive concert to spread awareness on breast cancer when a fan groped his crotch.
A video of the incident has surfaced on the internet and though Harry continued to perform even after that incident, the act cannot be ignored. Sexual assault is a crime, regardless of the gender which is victimized. The Twitterati fam was shaken and expressed their utter disgust and horror at this incident, soon after which #RespectHarry started trending on the internet and everybody came out in support of the singing sensation.
WTF!!! When your favorite artist is close to you, this does not justify you touching him in this way. #RespectHarry pic.twitter.com/0PdUGR6nN2

All of us deserve respect, we shouldn't be pleading for it..
When he kneels in the front you should understand that he's doing it to get close to you. NOT TO BE TOUCHED INAPPROPRIATELY #RespectHarry

Everybody dreads that feeling. How difficult is it to decipher that?
Then y'all wonder why artists put barriers between the stage and the croud. This is disgusting #RespectHarry

It's never okay. Period.
PSA: if you ever get the opportunity of see a artist in front row, do not think it’s okay to sexual assault then. #RespectHarry

Why couldn't she just do this instead? Why stoop down so low?
I mean why couldn't she be like this girl instead of doing something so disrespectful? #RespectHarry pic.twitter.com/mwWlZ8dXEO

NOT FAIR.
Harry: a feminist, treats people with kindness, puts his mother's birthday aside to perform

Kindness will heal the world, not fear.
Harry deserves appreciation, support and respect from us. Harry is not an object, he is a human, you should always remember that.
