He didn't eat or drink or showed any interest in life but just kept sleeping as if he was a dead man and his father was both worried and scared for his only son .
And so were his sisters Priya and Namrata and the entire staff at home and in the Office of Ajanta Arts.
It was four in the morning and Dutt Sahab was still awake . He was shocked when Sanjay walked into his bedroom and cried out " dad, I am dying , please save me " ( it was such a contrast to the scene when the same Sanjay had threatened to shoot his father ) . That

The next morning Dutt Sahab got Sanjay admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital where Sanjay was born.
After Sanjay was a little stable Dutt Sahab flew Sanjay to America and made arrangements to admit him to a well-known rehabilitation centre where he stayed till he was cured of alcoholism and drug addiction .

Sanjay continued to live in America where his daughter Trishaala from his first wife , the actress Richa Sharma was living ever since she was born .
He had no interest or intentions of returning to India or to films . He had met a friend who got him interested in some business and he was almost going to start a new life in America .
But like they say once in films always in films and Sanjay was back to where he belonged. However no big filmmaker was willing to take the risk of signing him as an actor .
One of his action- director friends Pappu Verma met him and found him in good shape and signed him for his film "Jaan Ki Baazi"

Sanjay was nervous on the morning the film was to be launched , but when he saw the huge crowd and the band playing and fire works being bust and the TRAFFIC outside Filmalaya Studio.
He found his lost confidence and then there was no stopping him , till another bigger and more dangerous storm hit him in the face and not only shook him up but shocked the entire country .
