Uunchai today introduced its first female star – Sarika! In a never seen before Avatar!

Uunchai begins to introduce its female leads from today. Veteran actor Sarika became the first female star from the accomplished ensemble to be unveiled. After making waves with the launches of some unique character posters of its male leads - Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher and Boman Irani, Uunchai with Sarika’s poster today has introduced another star from its mega cast. Each of Uunchai’s character posters have been launched by the cast’s prominent industry friends. Staying true to the trend of the film’s campaign, Sarika’s poster was introduced by none other than the ever-so-graceful Kirron Kher! It was beautiful to witness a veteran star as Kirron, take to her social media handles to introduce to the world, another talented star, co-actor and friend, Sarika!

Uunchai marks Sarika’s second collaboration with Rajshri. She worked with the iconic production house in the hit film “Geet Gaata Chal” in 1975. Uunchai is her homecoming. There are whispers in the industry that Sarika’s performance is power packed in Uunchai and this may mark a very strong comeback for her. Talking of her performance, two still frames that compose her first look poster speak for themselves. On one hand, she stands with her backpack, taking a pause on a trek trail. On the other hand, we see her amidst the snow mountains, head covered with a scarf, and her beautiful, hazel-grey eyes look on in search for something almost spiritual. Noteworthy difference also is a different take on the tagline for this poster. It reads – Redemption Was Her Only Motivation. This gives the world a very first glance into the emotion palate of Uunchai, where with friendship, it now is a story of  redemption as well.

Marking 75 glorious years of Rajshri, Uunchai will be the 60th film produced by the iconic production house. Directed by the powerhouse storyteller Sooraj R. Barjatya, his mega cast for his most ambitious project yet consists of Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Sarika, Neena Gupta and Parineeti Chopra. Pivotal performances by Danny Denzongpa and Nafisa Ali Sodhi are also in store. The film is in its final lap of post-production and will be hitting the screens worldwide on 11.11.22
