VARUN AND ANUSHKA IN SUI DHAAGA

They're the hottest stars of Gen-Y and they're all set to come together and set the screen on fire. Both these actors have made their own identity in the tinsel town in no time. They have their own set of massive fan following and are constantly in the limelight for some or the other reasons. Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma are finally pairing up for a feature film for the very first time under the YRF banner.

The film titled Sui Dhaaga will be written and directed by Sharat Katariya of Dum Laga Ke Haisha fame and produced by Maneesh Sharma. Speaking about the film, Varun feels that since he and Anushka are teaming up for the first time, he is “sure that there will be fireworks”. “From Gandhiji (Mahatma Gandhi) to Modiji (Prime Minister Narendra Modi), our country’s leaders have always endorsed the ideology of ‘Made in India’. With our film, I am proud to take their message to millions of people in a relevant manner,” said Varun. Whereas Anushka quoted, "I always get excited with unique ideas that have human interest stories. Sui Dhaaga is a story of self-reliance that I believe will connect to the grassroots level with every Indian.

Both the actors announced the film in an extremely unique way. Have a look at the series of tweets by the stars leading up to the announcement!

And then of course, came the big announcement from YRF themselves.

Although Anushka's last venture, Phillauri did not do well at the box office, the actress was highly appreciated for her performance. On the other hand, Varun Dhawan has proved that he has what it takes to be a superstar and was last seen in the commercially successful Badrinath Ki Dulhania.

Yesterday, we told you about the announcement of YRF's Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar which will feature Parineeti and Arjun. And now the banner has announced Sui Dhaaga in almost the same manner. Can we expect more such announcements in the near future? Only time will tell!
