‘Khelo India Youth Games 2023‘ Vedant Madhavan, son of famous Bollywood star R Madhavan, won seven medals in the event, earning him a lot of praise in the sports world. His father R. Madhavan’s happiness seems no bound. He is extremely happy with the victory of Vedant and Maharashtra in the Khelo India 2023 event. He congratulated the team representing Maharashtra in this year’s ‘Khelo India Youth Games‘ for securing the top position in the points table with 161 medals (56 gold, 55 silver and 50 bronze). Vedant won five gold medals and two silver medals in this competition. Madhavan took to Twitter to express his happiness by sharing pictures of his smiling son Vedant, posing with the medals. Vedant is a national level swimmer. Madhavan said, “By God’s grace, won gold in 100m, 200m and 1500m and silver in 400m and 800m. Congratulations to Team Maharashtra for the two trophies.” First trophy Maharashtra youth team in swimming and second overall championship trophy for Maharashtra in ‘Khelo Games’.” R Madhavan has always been an admirer of his son Vedant’s sporting prowess and has often expressed pride for his promising son. In 2021, Madhavan and his wife shifted to Dubai to help their son Vedant prepare for the Olympics. Vedant made headlines last year by winning the gold medal at the Danish Open among others.
‘Khelo India 2023 Youth Games‘ began on 30 January in eight cities of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Maheshwar, Balaghat, Mandla, Jabalpur and Gwalior and is the fifth edition of ‘Khelo India Youth Games‘.
In another tweet, R Madhavan wrote, “Feeling very grateful and humbled by the performances of Apeksha Fernandez (6 Gold & 1 Silver) and Vedant Madhavan (5 Gold & 2 Silver).” Along with this, he also thanked Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur.
