Veteran Actor Jeetendra, Who Has A Crazy Fan-Following In China, Spotted At A Local Mumbai Shopping-Mall

It was a pleasant surprise for dozens of shopping mall customers and the sales staff to watch veteran ( evergreen) modest star-actor Jeetendra ( wearing sun-glasses) indulged in shopping personally, even as he navigated the shopping trolley on the floor, at a  popular local Andheri Shopping Mall. The debonair retro-movie ‘Farz’ actor was accompanied by  Tusshar’s  cute son Laksshya  and his personal security bouncers. As is known, the unassuming ‘Punjabi puttar’ Jeetendra, who speaks fluent Marathi, makes it a point to regularly visit his old friends and neighbours especially during festivals, at the same Girgaon ( central Mumbai area) chawl complex, where the ‘Parichay’ actor spent his precious childhood.   Not many are aware, that Jeetendra has a huge frenzied fan-following in China where his 1971 jubilee hit movie ‘Caravan’ has been premiered twice (1979 and 2019)  at their international film festivals .  Top-ranking  local favourite ‘Caravan’ directed by Nasir Hussain  was  screened exclusively at the Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIIFF) in China during March-April this year. When released at regular shows in local theatres,  ‘Caravan’ emerged a mega-hit there with the Chinese going ga-ga over Jeetendra’s cool performance and his agile dancing to R D Burman composed chartbusting songs like ‘Hum Toh Hai Raahi Dil Ke’  , ‘Goriya Kahaan Tera Desh Rey’  and of course ‘Chadti Jawaani Meri Chaal Mastani’
