Kundan Shah who was best known for his film Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro which not only earned Kundan a National Film Award but was also credited with introducing Hindi cinema to satirical comedy. Post Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Kundan shifted to television and gave back to back hits on the small screen with Nukkad and Wagle Ki Duniya. Post the success of his television journey, Shah returned on the silver screen with Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa which went on to become a huge success. Bollywood film-makers took to Twitter to pay their respects to the maverick filmmaker. A brave man Kundan Shah, who added vigour to the alternate cinema stream with movies like Jaane bhi do yaaro has left us.
