Although the show has been on-air since February 2023, Vishwas Saraf shares that they started shooting for it from the month of January. The actor who plays the role of Jahan in the show, produced by Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta’s Dreamiyata Production, talks about it.
“Initially, the challenge was to have everything in place. It took its time to establish coordination, but since everyone coordinated so well the outcome is evidently amazing. I understood my character from the writer and director’s POV and performed to their expectations,” he continues, “Junooniyatt is a story of passion and love— passion for music, love and affection for friendship makes it different from any other show on-air. It’s a well-conceived and well-directed piece of art.”
At the time of rehearsals, he made many reels. “I’m usually very fond of making dance reels. So I made a few dance reels with Neha Rana (Illahi) and Rinku Ghosh (Maheep). These reels went viral within a few hours and everyone on the set was talking about these dance reels which was a fun memory,” he says, adding that there are many surprises and unique elements of Junooniyatt that will be revealed soon.
What’s the new twist in the show? “Jahaan’s new avatar is a great buildup, he has re-entered the life of Illahi and Jordan which has made a huge impact on the audience in a positive way. Karan, a true friend, and like always is supporting Jordan in all the ways he can. Karan is worried about Jordan getting affected by the entry of Jahaan,” he ends.
