In the beginning of 2020 all the astrologers , palmists , tarot card readers may have predicted a very bright 2020 and a brighter 2021 for her - Ali Peter John

They must have told her about how all her big films would be released in 2020 or latest by 2021 .

They must have also told her about her tying the knot with her dream star , Ranbir Kapoor and they must have told her that no one else , not even Deepika Padukone or Shraddha Kapoor could come anywhere near her and that she would be the ruling female star for the next five years . And the little girl Alia must have been very happy with all their predictions for her .

But little did little Alia know that there was some almighty power called time ( waqt ) which is the greatest astrologer who knows what will happen to whom and when .

2020 if all had gone according to the predictions made for Alia , would have been the luckiest and happiest time of her life . Lekin zaalim waqt ko Alia ke liye kuch aur hi manzoor tha .

The learned men who made all those predictions for Alia had miserably failed in predicting the coming and spreading of the pandemic and the resulting lockdowns which brought a standstill to some of the most lofty ambitions and dreams of some of the most mighty and powerful men and women . And the little Alia Bhatt was no exception .
Even before the Coronavirus could make its cruel power be known , Alia had a release in her father's film "Sadak 2 " which was released on OTT platforms , but it seemed like the people had lost interest in Mahesh Bhatt and his way of making films .

And Mahesh was also caught in a verbal duel with Kangana Ranaut who was going all out to give the film industry a bad name .

And "Sadak 2" was perhaps the biggest flop in the history of OTT platforms . And the disaster of the film certainly made a negative impact on Alia who was the only shining light of the film . Alia had to wait for something better to happen to her and her growing career.

She was depending on a big film life "Brahmastra " which had big stars like Amitabh Bachchan , her lover boy Ranbir Kapoor , Dimple Kapadia and Nagarjuna in the leading roles .

The film was scheduled to release on several dates , but all the dates clashed with the claws of the Coronavirus and the film has still to be released .

All those associated with the film will be victims of the Coronavirus , but none of them will be as badly affected as Alia .....

Alia had a positive trump card in her hands with Sanjay Leela Bhansaali's "Gangubai Kathiawadi " .

The film in which Alia plays the role of a lifetime was also scheduled to release in early 2021.

But time (waqt ) had still not settled some hidden score with Alia and Gangubai Kathiawadi may now be released only after the monsoons . Alia had received one more Knock and she reeled under the assault of the Coronavirus .

And to prove that she had made it to the big league , she was also the leading lady of S S Rajamouli's "RRR " with Prabhas as her leading man .

She was now declared the most popular and highly paid female star and she could have celebrated her grand victory , but ....

She was supposed to marry Ranbir Kapoor even before Rishi Kapoor unfortunately died and all the plans of the lovers to get married and shift to their own luxurious apartment in Bandra were foiled by the pandemic and the wedding which was to be will now have to wait at least for another one year if family sources are to be believed .

And to add fuel to the story about Alia and Ranbir having to wait to get married , Alia has started shooting for Karan Johar's "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani " with her Guly Boy hero , Ranveer Singh as Rocky , the fairy tale story of the Ranveer and Alia wedding story grows quite mysterious .

Will they or won't they ? That's the big question that will keep making the rounds till Ranbir and Alia take the saat pheras and declare themselves husband and wife before the world ..
