Macho charismatic model-actor Arjun Rampal is currently making waves with his rugged looks in the movie-poster of under-production The Battle Of Bhima Koregaon.  Chaitanya Padukone

 In the macho looks of this long-haired and bearded battle-hardened Mahar warrior Arjun is exuding a rugged aura and tough looks The mega-film also stars model-actress Digangana Suryavanshi in the role of pretty-tough warrior Mahar Ladaaka while Abhimanyu Singh plays Peshwa Bajirao-II.

The movie will also see sizzling sultry oomph-girl-actress-dancer Sunny Leone performing a melodious ethnic-lavani dance number to a melodious song. The ambitious film is based on the now controversial battle fought between the British East India Company and the Peshwa's faction of the Maratha confederacy on 1 January 1818 at Bhima Koregaon locatyed in Maharashtra.

Every year on 1 January, a large number of Dalits visit Bhima Koregaon to commemorate the victory.

On the second centenary of the battle in 2018, reportedly there was tension between Dalits and people from the so-called upper castes in the area, resulting in violence. Since then, the battle of Bhima Koregaon has been allegedly embroiled in controversy.

Talented producer-director, writer composer Ramesh Thete will be hosting the first look & song-teaser Launch of his mega-movie ‘The Battle of Bhima-Koregaon’ this week. The film based on historic facts which depicts the dramatic socio-political happenings during 1795- 1818. The final cast now comprises Arjun Rampal, Sunny Leone, Digangana Suryavanshi, Abhimanyu Singh, Krishna Abhishek, Govind Namdeo, Ashok Samarth, and Rishi Sharma.
