WAS SONAM KAPOOR THE LUCK FACTOR IN HER FATHER, ANIL KAPOOR'S CAREER???

Anil Kapoor has believed in taking risks right from the beginning of his career. He started with a Kannada Film which was directed by Bapu who directed “Hum Panch", the first film of Boney Kapoor as a producer. Anil then did “Woh Saat Din", also directed by Bapu for which he received appreciation. It was at this time that he took another big risk and married Sunita who was his first love. In between, he did a bit role in Ramesh Sippy's “Shakti" in which he played the grandson of Dilip Kumar and the son of Amitabh Bachchan, which he said was a very memorable experience for him which he was not sure whether it would happen again or not.

He was now the father of a daughter who he and his wife Sunita named Sonam, which is said be mean good luck. The name Sonam literally changed Anil's career when a new chapter in his career started with Subhash Ghai's “Ram Lakhan" and then there was no stopping him. He was so busy that he didn't even know in which class Sonam studied. I once saw Sonam returning from school in her uniform and carrying her heavy bag. I was sitting with Anil and asked him who the girl was. He looked at me sheepishly and smiled and looked puzzled. He didn't know which class she was studying in and put my question off by saying, “woh Sunita ka department hai. Maine bachcho ko Sunita ke haath mein chhod diya hai. Mujhe maaloom hai Sunita unko jo banayegi, woh main kabhi nahi bana sakoonga".
