The film was partly inspired by events from the life of Simply Fly Deccan founder G. R. Gopinath.

The film tells the story of Nedumaaran Rajangam known to his friends as Maara, a son of a teacher, who sets out to make the common man fly and takes on a the most capital intensive industry in the world with the help of his friends, family and sheer will power.

This tale is rarest of its kind, has a lot of inspirations for intake. This drama film is directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by Suriya and Guneet Monga.

The story was conceptualised and written by Kongara and starred Suriya, Paresh Rawal, and Aparna Balamurali alongside Urvashi, Mohan Babu, and Karunas amongst others in supporting roles.

Penguin

If you’re in the mood for some mystery then this movie will be your best bet. Its an Indian mystery thriller film written and directed by Eashvar Karthic in his directorial debut and produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam, Sudhan Sundaram and Jayaram, under Stone Bench Films, backed by Karthik Subbaraj and Passion Studios respectively.

The film stars Keerthy Suresh as a pregnant woman who is traumatised by nightmares about the unsolved kidnapping of her first child, and later embarks on a mission to solve the mystery of his disappearance.

Ponmagal Vandhal

This Indian Tamil-language legal drama revolves around a rookie lawyer who leads to the reopening of a notorious 15-year-old case of a dead killer, alleged to have kidnapped and murdered young girls.

Written and directed by J. J. Fredrick and produced by Suriya, the film stars Jyothika leading an ensemble cast including K. Bhagyaraj, R. Parthiban, Thiyagarajan, Pratap K. Pothan and Pandiarajan.

The plot revolves around Venba (Jyotika),a determined lawyer who reopens the case of a serial killer after 15 years.

It carries a very important message against child sexual abuse, and when a woman speaks about it, it becomes even more hard-hitting.

Silence (Nishabdham)

A 2020 thriller film directed by Hemant Madhukar and co-produced by Kona Venkat and T. G. Vishwa Prasad starring Madhavan, Anushka Shetty, Michael Madsen and Anjali in the lead roles.

The plot revolves around a world famous cello player who is murdered and crucified in a Seattle Villa that has a reputation for being haunted.

His friends and family try to figure out if he was really killed by a supernatural being or if he was assassinated by someone he knows.

His dumb and deaf wife and a police detective are pinned against each other as they discover the victims’ dark past.

Although the film was intended to have no dialogues, it was later shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil, with the latter version titled Nishabdham.

The film is power packed with Ecstatic screenplay, spellbound plot and a perfect cast that make it a definite watch.
