Be it imitating Hrithik Roshan or his interesting “Munna Mummy” conversation, Kettan Singh sure knows how to keep his audience entertained. And his show on YouTube “Janhit Mein Jaari” is no less. In his own interesting and humorous way, the “Shankar Jaikishan 3 in 1” actor talks about the ongoing issues in the country, like nepotism, feminism, the education system, to name some. But this three year old video where he talks about the ban on marijuana is so relevant today, you know why.

Well, the video starts with a crew member saying “Camera, roll” and then Kettan asks “Are roll hai?”. He then talks about that even in Vedas they have mentioned about Cannabis and have even called it a joy giver. Throwing light on how it was banned he revealed that in a UN Convention in 1961 it was called a synthetic drug but India refused to sign them as it was the backbone of Indian ayurvedic industry.

But later under pressure by America the natural herb was banned in India, however, they themselves made it legal in 27 states for medicinal purposes and in 11 states for recreational purposes. In fact, it is legal in over 40 countries around the world, and their gross happiness index is much higher than India, where it’s still illegal.Kettan also spoke about the benefits of the natural herb, like it’s used for cancer treatment in the US and also in various industries like beauty and plastic manufacturers. Interesting isn’t it? It’s a well-researched video presented in a humorous way. Watch it and you will know.
