How did you get your break as an actress?

I got my first ever break as an actor through a casting coordinator as a cameo artist on Sony television. It was in the serialBeyhadh directed by Vikram V. Labhe. I played the role of a news reporter in the serial which had Jennifer Winget & Kushaal Tondon as my co-actors

Was acting in your mind since childhood?

Yes kind of, as I was quite bubbly from childhood.

Why did you want to be an actress?

I have been always photogenic. Besides, I love to face camera, and feel that the camera is always like my best friend and hence I have always wanted be only an actress.

To what extent do you believe in hard work and destiny?

99% I do believe in hard work and the rest 1% in destiny. Hard work always pays. Though there is destiny we can't sit on a chair at home and wait for destiny, that's why I feel that destiny contributes only 1%

Do you think luck is just an excuse for those who lack talent?

Obviously! How could you blame luck?

Were you not scared of casting couch?

No! I know how to deal with them. There are sleazy producers who have propositioned me but I have said no tocompromising to get roles in films or web series

Can you tell me how do you ward them off?

Just by listening to them to the end because the final decision will be mine whether I have to work with them or not.

Who are your favorite actors and actresses?

Salman Khan & Deepika Padukone ( because she works so hard). Okay. Actually everyone works so hard but she is my favorite.

Which are the directors in your wish list?

The wish list that I have is actually endless. They include Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rohit Shetty, Anurag Basu, Imtiaz Ali, Aditya Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani, Farhan Akhtar and last but not the least Kabir Khan.

Is virginity a virtue in today's times?

No. It does not mean that I feel that in today's time virginity is not at all a virtue. What I mean is that there should not be merit or demerit in virginity, as it’s all about thinking and while many people have narrow minded thinking, there are some who are broad minded.

Would you consider it a compliment if a man calls you sexy?

Yes, it's not necessary that everytime everything is wrong.

Are you open to appear in a bikini and do lip to lip kisses on the screen?

No! Not yet.  I am not yet ready to do a lip to lip kissing on the screen or appear in a bikini because I am not comfortable, and also there is no rocket science in it

What kind of men put you off?

Somehow, the kind of men who always abide by stringent conditions put me off.

Especially, if a man I come across in my career asks me to compromise, take it from me, 100% I am not going to do it.

What is your take on MeToo # syndrome?

It's good for every industry & I do support MeToo#, because we can't ignore it. Filth is everywhere and to clean it, there should be such kind of movements like MeToo# and so I will support it for all times to come.

What kind of friends would you like to make?

I have always loved to make new friends. In simple words if I have to say, I’d anytime opt for loyal and honest friends, who would be ready to stand by me at any time of the day or night.

How would you describe yourself as a person?

As a person, I am very jolly and I am quite emotional too. I hail from a Sikh family,

But I do believe in all religions & also respect them too, especially because for me God is one.

Would you prefer an arranged marriage or opt for a live in relationship?

To answer your second question first, I don't understand what is live in marriage. If you ask me about marriage, I’d say that it is an institution by itself in society and it’s good. All that I can say about it is that it's an institution to connect people for life long.

Is a boy friend necessary for a career minded girl of today or just a distraction?

It depends on how an individual wants to lead his or her own life. It's not necessary that a boyfriend or a girlfriend is a distraction, and it's just about how you manage everything.

What is your frank opinion on sex? Is it a must today to satiate one's lust? If a man indulges in sex, he is called a stud but if a woman indulges in it she is called a slut. Is it fair?

No, it’s not fair at all. I feel that we should not complicate everything but only remember that it's damn simple that sex is just a physical need and whoever needs it will just prefer to get it, either by hook or crook.

What is your view on homosexuals and lesbians? If you are offered a role of a lesbian will you jump at the role?

I would not blame anyone if he is a homosexual, because it’s biological. I don't have any problem to play the role of a lesbian but my condition is that it should be clean like Ayushmann Khurrana and Jeetendra did in Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhaan. It is okay to play such a bold role if only it is not lustful.

What do you have to say about the Corona Virus?

it's the worst situation we in the world are living in and it is making everyone's life including who are affected or who are not hell.

What are your hobbies?

I love singing, dancing, acting. I like to learn new things in life and hang out with my family and friends.

What is your view point about shopping?

I am next level shopaholic and foodie person. I love cooking and would love to learn more cooking from my mom because, I really think that she is the best cook in the world.

What do you think about food as such?

I love to make new recipes and love to feed everyone.

What is your favorite cuisine?

And my most favorite dish is Chole Bhature, Rajma Chawal, Maa Ki Daal (Daal Makhni)), Chicken, Chicken Biryani etc.

To what extent are you religious as a person?

I am very religious. I am very hardworking person & I really believe in myself

Which are the films or for that matter any web series or TV serial in which you are working right now?

Right now, I am not working in any film, TV serial or for that matter any web series

Though I am getting a few offers, to act in films, web series and TV serials, I am not happy with the kind of offers that are being offered to me. All that I can say is that I am in talks with a few directors and waiting for a good opportunity.
