India’s answer to that sparkling take on the bad, mad world of advertising, has arrived. High on office drama, this series is set in the mid 90’s. MX Player original series Kiska Hoga Thinkistan season 2 deep dives into the world of advertising, and manages to give you an insight of what it includes. With its focus on all things advertising, the zany series also captures various emotions such as broken friendships, absurd workplace relationships and the very obvious clash between the professional and personal world of the characters. The series starts as a warm, happy-go-lucky tale of companionship between two colleagues Hema and Amit Shrivastava leading to the discrimination that takes place between the two writers just because of a new boss – William Fernandes (Neil Bhoopalam) and replaces Anushka (Mandira Bedi).

A wow moment of this series is Kabir Bedi as he marks his digital debut with ‘Kiska Hoga Thinkistan 2’. His presence in the series is limited and short-timed, but his looks have done full justice to his role. Not that we haven’t seen office dramas, but Kiska Hoga Thinkistan Season 2 gives you an unexplored perspective (on screen) of the advertising world. It isn’t the smooth ride we presume it to be. From bruised friendships to meaningless relationships along with professional clashes, this series includes all aspects of entertainment. Another key factor that drives the series forward is its focus on workplace sexual harassment. The backdrop of the 90’s has worked well for this series and gives the viewers a major throwback.

Filmmaker N Padmakumar’s ad stint proves handy for this digital series. The complexity in the characters tends to create confusion in the viewers minds but the storyline helps maintan a graph. Kiska Hoga Thinkistan Season 2 plays safe in many ways – intriguing but not always captivating.
