Lacks Novelty & Is Not Gripping!

An unmatched entertainer to watch this weekend, this latest series from MX Player sets out to trace the out-of-the-ordinary life of Dilawar Rana (Sumeet Vyas) who is offered a deal to stay out of jail, on condition that he must run a dodgy ghost haunted hotel owned by his family and make it profitable. Dilawar must go beyond mere mortals and emerge triumphant when pitted against a bhoot! Applying the rules of CEOgiri to the turnaround of a bankrupt haunted hotel, he refurbishes the hotel and offers the world’s ‘best haunting experience’ to adventure-loving guests. Horror eventually takes over humor in the show as the place actually turns out to be seemingly haunted. A comedy with a twist, it is a tried and tested combination of horror and comedy and in general does not go wrong. With the third season, ‘Official Bhootiyagiri’ is both fun and freaky at the same time. The popular ‘Official Chukyagiri’ and ‘Official CEOgiri’ franchise is returning after a hiatus .

Dilawar decides to sell off the hotel before it is auctioned off due to bad loans. However, in the process, Dilawar reconnects with his father played by Mohan Kapoor that helps him resolve his childhood issues. His father’s untimely death makes him reconsider his decision of selling off his ancestral home. Almost each and every actor is able to justify his or her parts. After several trials and tribulations, the hotel is finally saved. But then the real truth comes out and shocks Dilawar, changing his beliefs forever. This 5-episodic spooky, but bland at the same time series is directed by Vishwajoy Mukherjee.

Sumeet Vyas is definitely one of the major reasons to watch this show. Vyas steps back in the shoes of the widely-loved character of Dilawar Rana. Only this time, he’s put in a situation that involves a haunted house and a spooky memory attached to it. I bet you’ll love what’s in store for you! Mohan Kapoor makes you pine to see more of him as he has been cast in a role in which you will miss him if you blink. Pranay Manchanda is superb. Navin Prabhakar is able to provide laughter in this web series which is too slow for comfort and lacks novelty and drama that can keep you glued to it from the first episode till the last. Watch it only for the sake of Sumeet Vyas.
