Vikram Bhatt Fraud Case: FIR filed over alleged 30 crore cheating complaint

An FIR has been filed against filmmaker Vikram Bhatt in Udaipur, accusing him of committing a ₹30 crore fraud related to a film project The complaint was registered at the Bhupalpura police station.

The complainant, Dr Ajay Murdia, claims that he entered into an agreement with Vikram Bhatt's company to produce films in memory of his late wife and paid a substantial amount for the project.

According to the complaint, the production house failed to produce the films as per the agreement and did not properly credit the two films that were made The highest-budget film reportedly never began production.

Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal confirmed that an investigation is underway, and authorities are collecting documents and statements to verify the allegations before deciding on further action

Vikram Bhatt has denied the allegations, claiming that the police are being misled He stated that he has not received any official notice or documents regarding the case.

The filmmaker questioned the claims, arguing that if he had committed fraud, the complainant would not have continued working with him He also mentioned that his employees were not paid by the complainant.

Bhatt emphasized that he has evidence, including emails and contracts, to support his stance and refute the allegations made against him

On the professional front, Dr Ajay Murdia produced Vikram Bhatt's recent film, "Tumko Meri Kasam," which was a biopic of the founder of Indira IVF, indicating a prior working relationship.
